Sima Sharma, a senior journalist has compiled the anthology, Faith in an Age of Uncertainty as Editor of the IIC Quarterly and head of the publication division of the India International Center, New Delhi, till summer 2000.
She had been involved in issues of faith and philosophy and associated with the International Sacred Literature Trust (ISLT) and the Temenos Academy of Integral Studies. She was series co-editor for the first six volumes of the ISLT series of sacred texts in translation from various world traditions, published by Harper Collins in 1994. For the Temenos academy, she wrote papers and delivered talks and seminars related to the Indian tradition within the context of the universal integral heritage.
She has also broadcast short talks in the BBC's Words of Faith series and was respondent to the 1996 Sir Francis Younghusband Memorial Lecture delivered by Dr. George Carey, the Archbishop of Canterbury, on the theme: "How far can we travel together."
As a seeker and thinker she is guided by the works of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother whose influence she imbibed deeply at Pondicerry. She lives and works in Delhi.

Faith
This anthology of essays on the theme of Faith is a tribute to the spirit that lives in humanity. As the editor writes in her introduction, "Believer, non-believer or iconoclast, no one living in this kaliyuga can be indifferent to this issue."
This anthology is an offering that comes with a plea that it be read slowly, a little at a time, for it is not 'ten easy steps to a better millennium.' In fact it has no agenda whatever on the faith question, except to clear a space wide enough for various shades of insights which might be received and reflected upon.
The volume has no pretensions of representing any cross-section of opinion nor even that of working towards a coherent set of answers. It came into being through the unique authenticity and generosity of each of the contributors.
